Scholarships are a big part of our mission to support students. Our scholarship programs are designed to encourage and support high school students to work hard and attend college. We believe that education is the key to building stronger communities. In order to support that belief, we provide financial support to high school and college students with financial needs.
We’re here to help. The Rainey Day College Foundation provides scholarships up to $3,000 per year, along with ongoing mentoring, advising, networking opportunities and college support.
The Rainey Day College Foundation Team will offer a service to review essays for high school students, to help with college admissions and scholarships. Our team will provide valuable feedback to make sure you are on the right track. This program is in our pilot (trial) phase for students of Camden City, New Jersey and surrounding areas. Exceptions will be made for students in Harford County, Maryland.
Students must:

**The Rainey Day College Foundation team will not complete the essay for students, but will provide valuable feedback. We will not assist with RDCF scholarship essays. Those reviews will be a part of the scholarship application process. This service is being offered to assist students seeking additional help.**
Charawn Hunter, through the Rainey Day College Foundation, is offering the Janice High & Charmaine Jackson Healthcare scholarship to a qualifying High School Senior, in the amount of $300.
CRITERIA:
1. Must be a graduating senior with college acceptance.
2. GPA of at least 2.5 or above
3. Majoring in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
4. Submit Essay answering the question: What impact do you plan on making in the senior citizen community after you complete your degree?
Monica Dorsey and Tammi Hawes, through the Rainey Day College Foundation, are offering the Momma's Legacy of Love General Scholarship to a qualifying High School Senior, College Student, Graduate Student, or Adult Learner, in the amount of $1,000.
CRITERIA:
1. Applicant must be a graduating High School Senior, College Student, Grad Student, or Adult learner.
2. Accepted to a 4 year College/University.
3. Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 or above
4. Positive Social Media presence.
5. Submit essay answering the following question: Describe how a degree will help you reach your future goals?
Gina Reilly established the Marcia Reilly Application Fund through the Rainey Day College Foundation, to offer a $500 scholarship to a qualifying senior, adult learner, college student, or graduate student. The goal of this scholarship is to ease the financial strain of application fees, ensuring that aspiring students are not restricted in their ability to apply to various institutions due to financial limitations.

Nicole Cleveland established the Belcher-Cleveland Scholarship Fund through the Rainey Day College Foundation, to offer a scholarship to a qualifying High School Senior, who is a resident of Camden County, NJ, in the amount of $1,500.
Criteria:
1. Applicant must be a resident of Camden County, NJ
2. Applicant must be a graduating High School Senior, accepted to an accredited post-secondary institution in the year of the scholarship award.
3. Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 and above
4. Positive Social Media presence.
5. Submit essay: What do you plan to do with your college degree and what impact do you think it will have on you, your family, and community?
Falynn Milligan, through the Rainey Day College Foundation, is offering the Lenora Holmes-Milligan scholarship to a qualifying High School senior, who is a resident of Camden, NJ, in the amount of $1,000.

2. Applicant must be a graduating High School Senior
3. Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 and above

5. Submit essay: In 500 words or less, please describe how you plan to give back to the Camden community and help fulfill the needs of your community after you have completed your education.
Purpose: To support students in pursuit of continuing the HBCU legacy by offering a scholarship ranging from $1,000 to $1,500.

- Graduating Senior (2023)
- Current HBCU College Student
- GPA 2.3 or above
- Participates in Extra Curricular activity (preferred but not required)

Purpose: To provide scholarships to students from the City of Camden in need of financial assistance to pay for college, show an eagerness to achieve through knowledge by intending to pursue, or currently enrolled in an accredited college/university or other post-secondary educational institution.
Two available awards in the amount of $1000.
Criteria:
1. Applicant must be a resident of the City of Camden, NJ
2. Applicant must be a graduating High School Senior or enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution in the year of the scholarship award.
3. Applicant must have a GPA of 2.3 and above

Purpose: To honor the legacy of Mansour Alwan, Engineer, by providing a scholarship to a student pursuing a STEM related field of study from the NJ/PA area.

2. Applicant must be a graduating High School Senior, college student, graduate student or adult learner.
3. Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 or above

5. Submit essay answering the following question: What problem in the World would you like to solve from an engineering perspective? How would you go about doing it?

Purpose: Shanta Rollins Doe and the Rollins Family, through the Rainey Day College Foundation, is offering the Jewell W. Rollins. Memorial Scholarship to a qualifying High School student interested in studying Journalism.

1. Applicant must be a 2024 graduating High School Senior of African American descent.
2. Accepted to a 4 year College/University.
3. Applicant must have a GPA of 2.50 or above.

6. Submit essay answering the following question: From a journalist's perspective, please conduct a short case study on yourself. Describe a defining moment in your life and highlight its significance for your audience in this journalistic case study.

Purpose: To honor the legacy of Maurice "Trillz" Johnson, by providing a Scholarship to a student majoring in Business or Finance, and attending a New Jersey College or University.

Purpose: To honor Dr. Dorothea V. Atkins, by providing a scholarship to a student pursuing the Nursing field of study from the NJ/PA area.

Purpose: Sarah Ortiz Brown in partnership with the Rainey Day College Foundation, is honoring the memory of Maria de Lourdes Ortiz, Nurse, by providing a scholarship to a student pursuing the Nursing field of study.
